Dee graduated cum laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, in March 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural and Environmental Plant Sciences concentrating in Greenhouse and Nursery Plant Production. Following graduation, Dee continued to work part time for five years in the Cal Poly greenhouses assisting with cut flower production and plant protection. Dee now manages her own cut flower gardens.
